The role of a SystemsIntegrations Software Engineer, Commercial Systems atCanonical

The Commercial Systems unit hasseveral areas of responsibility spread across six engineeringteams, closely collaborating with other engineering and businessteams at Canonical. Services designed, developed, and operated bythe Commercial Systems unit are at the heart of Canonical businessand Salesforce plays an integral role init.
The Integrations team aspires to integrateall business systems used at Canonical to ensure data reliablyflows at the right time to the right place, and to automatebusiness processes across the company. The systems include popularSaaS solutions, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Greenhouse, GSuite,and a few dozen others. To achieve this goal, we leverage Pythonand Go in combination with open source tools, such as Airbyte andTemporal. Our work helps to make data-driven decisions, andincreases the efficiency of businessoperations.

What Your Day Will LookLike
- Designand deliver engineering solutions leveraging Go, Python, and opensource tools such as Airbyte andTemporal
- Collaborate with colleagues ontechnical designs and code reviews
- Deploy andoperate services developed by the team
- SeekImprovements to engineering and operationspractices
What We Are LookingFor In You
- Experience as a software developer inPython
- Excellent understanding of integrationpatterns
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills in English
- Ability tocollaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members andstakeholders, remain highly motivated, productive, and organized ina fully remote environment
- Ability to travel tointernational destinations for one week at a time, approximately2-4 times per year. Locations prior to the global pandemic includedNew York, Seattle, London, Cape Town, Budapest, Berlin, Montreal,and Brussels
Additional Skills ThatYou Might Also Bring
- Experience as a software developer ina high-level language - preferablyGo
