Mid-senior commercial lawyer with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience who will provide support and advice on BNET corporate legal and contractual matters and supplementary support on regulatory matters as well as advise on interpretation of legal framework, support BNET’s procurement and other business units in drafting, negotiating, concluding and managing contract and; draft standard contractual templates reflecting best market practice and protecting BNET’s commercial interests and liaise with external legal counsel and/or other consultants.
Key areas of responsibility:
• Provide expert tactical and strategic advice to business on the interpretation of Bahraini laws
• Support BNET in negotiating, drafting and concluding high profile complex contracts with key vendors and suppliers, in particular in the technology & networks space
• Provide support to business and senior regulatory lawyers including liaison with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (the “Regulator”)
• Support BNET’s procurement and/or other business units in drafting, negotiating, concluding and managing contracts and other legal documents that address end-to-end operations of the company
• Develop and update standard contractual templates reflecting best market practice and protecting BNET’s commercial interests
• Draft, manage, and update corporate and regulatory instruments and documents or internal policies, as applicable. Review documents prepared by other team members / peers
• Review business practices and new products & services from legal liability standpoint and track compliance to regulations
• Ensure that recommendations on services are prepared in alignment with guidance from the senior regulatory lawyers
• Support the senior regulatory lawyers regarding:
• proceedings and other oral and written advocacy before the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain
• dispute resolution proceedings with the Regulator
• support to the business on day to day legal regulatory issues for both ex-ante and ex-post regulation
• Monitor litigation (court cases, arbitrations etc.) and potential litigation (contract T&C adherence etc.), manage internal & external stakeholders
• Manage BNET’s reporting obligations to the Regulator, including timely submissions of BNET’s recurrent reports to the Regulator.
• Manage the relationship with legal representative(s) (external legal counsel) - working on litigation and other corporate matters; track performance and support received in areas consulted
• Conduct research of specific Legal/Regulatory issues, draft memoranda of advice based on research and analysis conducted
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the legislative and disciplinary regime of the Regulator and the relevant regulatory developments
• Monitor database with TRA regulations & updates on international regulations impacting BNET
• Ensure continuous improvement of policies, processes, applicable systems and templates

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (mix of law firm and in-house preferred).
